Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the update all the Android flagship smartphone users are waiting for. While companies like Sony and Samsung are working really slow to push out the update, others including HTC and LG have been very active in this area. It has been just over a month after the LG G4 got the Marshmallow update in the US. And now, the yesteryear flagship is receiving the Android 6.0 update in Canada too.

The Android Marshmallow update for LG G4 is being pushed out in Canada by the local carrier Telus since 1st February. So if you are on Telus and are using the G4, you should receive an update notification soon; if not, then manually check for the update in the Software Update section in Settings.

For G4 users on other carriers, we have some news for you too. A few other major Canadian carriers including Rogers have updated their Marshmallow release schedule, and Rogers will push out the LG G4 Marshmallow update from 3rd February. Though, we currently don’t know about when will Bell start rolling out the update.

LG had started rolling out the Marshmallow update for LG G4 in Poland as a soak test, after which South Korea received a staged rollout. Following that, a European rollout was started, and it won’t be long before all the LG G4 devices are running the Marshmallow firmware.
