We told you yesterday that the LeTV Le Max Pro was going to be the first phone in the world to rock Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 820 flagship chipset. Well, the device has been officially announced, and we have our hands full with some major details and images of the phone.

The Letv Le Max Pro has also become the first phone in the world to get the Snapdragon Sense ID technology. It is the ultrasonic fingerprint biometric authentication technology we have reported about a lot of times. Qualcomm says that its Sense ID is far more reliable and secure than the current fingerprint technologies that are capacitive-based. The reason behind this is that ultrasonic scans give us detailed 3D maps of the fingers.

The Le Max Pro gets the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the back, and the sensor has been placed under 400 micrometers of metal. But the metal won’t come in way of the sensor’s functionality as it is ultrasonic.

The LeTV Le Max Pro gets super-fast LTE and also flaunts the multi-band WiFi 802.11ad connectivity. The phone also gets Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0, which allows you to charge the phone’s battery up to 60% from 0% within 30 minutes flat. The phone is rumored to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed and will most probably sport a 5.5-inch Quad HD display.

There is no doubt in the fact that the Le Max Pro is the first Snapdragon 820 phone, but its release date is still unknown. Though it is being said that LeTV will be releasing the device in the first half of this year.
