The upcoming Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U and Nintendo NX finally has a subtitle: Breath of the Wild. It’s a very apt title, if you ask me, and you’ll probably agree if you take a look at the trailer below, which showcases some of the “wild” you’ll be encountering in the game. Of particular note is lush grass, which the game absolutely abounds in.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild takes us through stunning grasslands, arid canyons, shores marked by coconut palms, a ruined church that would be at home in any Dark Souls game and Link using a home-made glider to traverse over the air. He can also ride wild horses to traverse over the ground and climb like a total boss, conquering towers, cliff faces and trees alike. There’s a lot more he’ll be doing, as the trailer shows, including fighting, cooking, setting fire to dry grass and running a whole lot.

There’s no release date announced as of yet, but it has been confirmed that the game will be launched only in 2017. This is almost certainly to make it a launch title for the upcoming Nintendo NX console, which Nintendo has yet to showcase. Nintendo has, however, said that the NX is expected to release in March 2017 (via The Verge), so that sounds like a good bet of when to expect the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
