Nintendo played through some previously unseen areas of the new The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild game in a pre-recorded video played at the 2016 Game Awards.
The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild trailer released at Game Awards 2016
This game is going back to the actual roots of the first game that was made in the 80’s. Hard difficulty (That lizard almost one shot link), and it’s mostly combat and adventure-centric. More so than the wind waker, skyward sword, and even the twilight princess because of its new weapon mechanics.
A lot of players are very excited for the combat and exploration. When playing video games like this, most players always like to go off the beaten path of main quests and like to progress through side quests even more. This game is going to satisfy that need.
This game is a product of the design ideas from A Link Between Worlds on 3DS where they opted for a more open world approach rather than the traditional quasi-linearity of the series. They essentially wanted to create a “breath of fresh air” within the series as it more or less has been the same formula copying Ocarina of Time for quite a while now.
The new trailer for The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is also FULL of new material and story elements. Nintendo has yet to reveal more in terms of story but we won’t be surprised if they put out a trailer for that as well.
