If you have been following Chinese smartphone company LeEco, you would know that the manufacturer was rumored to be holding an event on 29th June for unveiling a Snapdragon 821/823 powered phone. Well, LeEco did hold an event today, not for unveiling any new smartphone, but for showcasing a new color variant for its latest devices along with a new storage option.
As reported by GSMArena, a new color called Force Gold has been released for the LeEco Le Max 2, and the color will also be offered for the LeEco Le 2 and Le 2 Pro. So far, the Le Max 2 was available only in Grey, Silver, and Rose Gold colors.
Also, a new top model for the Le Max 2 has been released, and it comes with 6GB RAM coupled with 128GB internal storage. Before this, the phone only had 64GB built-in storage, so the company now offers a 128GB option to match its competitors. Everything else about the phone remains the same.
As for the pricing, the Le Max 2 cost CNY 2,099 ($316) for the 4GB RAM/32GB internal storage version, while the 6GB/64GB variant costs CNY 2,499 ($376). The new 6GB/128GB model carries a price tag of CNY 2,799 ($421), which makes it a perfect offering against the OnePlus 3. Note that these prices are meant for China only.
