A new low-end smartphone dubbed the Lava P7 has been introduced in the market by Lava. The handset is priced at INR 5,499 ($81 approx) in India. The phone will be sold in Gold, Blue, and White colors through leading retail and online stores.
Let’s talk about the specifications now. The Lava P7 features a 5-inch FWVGA display and gets a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor under the hood. There’s 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard expandable storage inside the phone, and the it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update officially promised by the company.
The Lava P7 gets a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. In terms of connectivity, the phone packs Wi-FI, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB, 3G, and GPRS/ EDGE. The phone gets its power frm a 2,000mAh battery coupled with a Power Saver mode to offer up to 20 hours of company-claimed talk time.
In other news, Lava and ShopInSync have come into a partnership for offering easy price comparison and selection on 10 Lava smartphones through an integrated messaging service. This app can be used to shop across various categories like electronics, appliances, fashion, mobiles, etc. ShopInSync recently expanded its product listings by adding products from Snapdeal, Flipkart, Amazon, and Shopclues.
