Making smartphones with bigger and bigger camera sensors on the front seems to be a trend these days. After companies like HTC, Microsoft and Micromaxx, LAVA is now making a attempt to cash in on the fad. The LAVA Iris X1 Selfie has 4.5 inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display and comes with a 5 MP selfie camera, coupled with LED flash on the front-side.
Running Android 5.0 Lollipop, the X1 Selfie is powered by a MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor, clocking in at 1.3 GHz. This is supported by 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The phone also supports a Dual-SIM sual standby feature in its arsenal. As is standard for smartphones at its price, The X1 comes with 8 GB of inbuilt storage on board (expandable to 32 GB). The whole setup is backed by a 2000 mAh Li-Po battery. Standard connectivity options like USB 2.0, WiFi and 3G are present.
As for the imaging department the phone houses an 8 MP and 5 MP rear and front shooter respectively (with LED flashes). It also includes the company’s own Beauty-Fi software along with other features such as HDR, Panorama, Gesture control and Burst Mode. The main camera has a f/2.0 aperture.
After the recently unveiled Pixel V1, the X1 selfie has been launched for a price tag of INR 6,777 and will be avialable in Icy White, Royal Black, and Purple hues.
