iOS 9.3 betas are being tested, and iOS 9.2 is the latest public firmware released quite a lot of weeks ago. However, we haven’t heard anything about the latest jailbreak. The last jailbreak was provided by the Pangu team, and after it was patched with iSO 9.1, we haven’t heard much from the team. Recent developments have suggested that a lot of teams are working on jailbreaks, but none of them have been successful.
According to a new report by Neurogadget, the iOS 9.2 might not come anytime soon, and it may be a while before we get to see a jailbreak. Just recently, the popular hacker Luca Todesco had claimed that he had jailbroken iOS 9.2.1 beta and iOS 9.3 beta. However, the hacker himself accepted a few days ago that he had lied and that no jailbreak is coming. A similar thing was done by TaiG’s jailbreak partner 3K Assistant, who had published a post suggesting that they had found an iOS 9.2 jailbreak, but had changed the post a few days after. So the final situations is that we don’t have any jailbreaks right now.
Some rumors say that the iOS 9.2 jailbreak has been found but hasn’t been released yet, as iOS 9.2 is buggy and releasing a jailbreak for it might not be the best thing to do. So if that is true then we should expect an iOS 9.3 jailbreak, which will happen only after a month or so when iOS 9.3 is finally released to the public.
Similarly, even Pangu’s jailbreak partner 25PP suggested that an iOS 9.2 jailbreak might be in the pipeline and we can hope for a release soon. However, PP hasn’t provided anymore updates on this, so we are still not sure if their statement is believable. Let’s wait for a few more weeks and see if things turn out to be true.
