Intex Technologies has just launched FitRist, a new smartband in the market. FitRist is first such smartband from Intex and will be exclusively sold through popular online retailer Snapdeal in India. Snapdeal has listed FitRist at Rs.1,199 and currently offering it at Rs.999.
FitRist sports a 0.86-inch curved OLED panel with a resolution of 96 x 32. The Intex FitRist features a 3-axis accelerometer and will be water-resistant and splash proof to prevent it from rain and accidental spills. The smartband works on Bluetooth 4.0 low-energy technology.
FitRist is Bluetooth enabled and once it is paired with your phone it will display all sorts of notifications from your phone directly on its display panel. It can only be paired with smartphones running on Android 4.3 or higher and iPhones running iOS 7 or later. This smartband also allows users to control their music player and helps in tracking the paired smartphones in case you can’t remember where you put them.
Like all other smartbands, FitRist also keeps a track of your physical activities like it keeps a record of your step counts, calorie chart, distance measurement and quality of sleep.
“Intex has always aspired to bring innovation and tech products that will improve and empower the lives of consumers. We have expanded our wearable segment with FitRist, a new smartband for the fitness freak and tech savvy youth. We are happy to partner with the one of leading online marketplace – Snapdeal for bringing the fitness device exclusively to consumers and are confident that the platform will ensure quality reach,” stated Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies.
FitRist is powered by a battery which can last up to 12 days. FitRist also features Remote Shutter – it lets you control the mobile camera from the band itself. The smart band comes in two colour variants of Dark Blue and White. FitRist is relatively cheaper when compared to smart bands of other brands and it will give direct competition to Xiaomi’s already successful Mi Band.
