Intex has launched yet another affordable smartphone in its Aqua series, called the Aqua Strong 5.2. The new is now listed on the company’s official website at a Best Buy price of Rs 6,390. There is no mention of the release date, though. The Intex Aqua Strong 5.2 comes in three color options – White, Blue, and Champagne.
The Intex Aqua Strong 5.2 is an upgraded version of Aqua Strong 5.1 [ launched at Rs 4,999 in August this year]. While the design and built remain same, hardware has been upgraded. The Aqua Strong 5.2 comes with 2GB of RAM as compared to 1GB RAM in Aqua Strong 5.1. The new addition to the company’s entry-level 4G smartphone portfolio also comes with 4G VoLTE support. The Aqua Strong 5.1 didn’t feature 4G VoLTE support.
Among other specifications, the Intex Aqua Strong 5.2 features a 5-inch TN display with FWVGA (854 x 480pixels) resolution and Gorilla Glass 2 protection. It is powered by a 1.0GHz quad-core processor along with ARM Mali-T720 MP1 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a micro SD card. The new smartphone runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 operating system. It comes with multiple pre-loaded apps such as Matrabhasha and Sony Liv.
The Intex Aqua Strong 5.2 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with a dual LED flash. It also features a 2-megapixel front camera with LED flash. Camera features include smile detection, face beauty, panorama mode and voice capture. Apart from 4G with VoLTE support, the connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth, dual-SIM, USB 2.0, and Wi-Fi. It is backed by a Li-Ion 2,800mAh battery, which claims to offer up to 16 hours of talk-time on 3G and 4G along with 466 hours of standby time. The new smartphone is 9.47mm thick and weighs 150g.
