In case you remember, we had brought you the exclusive leaked image of a pair of dual camera modules for the Huawei P9 back in October. These labels were apparently made to be fixed over the camera. And going by the two cut outs for the camera, one for the flash, and one for the laser AF, the only logical suggestion behind this design is that the P9 will be boasting of a dual camera set-up.
And today, the suggestion has been confirmed by some newly leaked specifications of the device. According to a report by XiaomiToday, the Huawei P9 will flaunt a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with possibly a 2K resolution. The phone will be powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 SoC and the Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It will come with 4GB RAM and the much-hyped dual-camera set up at the rear.
A recent rumor says that Huawei might launch the P9 in March 2016, which is almost a year after the Huawei P8 was released. A premium version of the Huawei P9 might also hit the market, which is suggested by the different “LTE” and “DELUX” labelling on the previous leaked camera modules.
The Huawei P9max is said to get a QHD 6.2-inch screen, Kirin 950 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB onboard storage, and Android Marshmallow. We now expect the P9 and P9max to visit TENAA soon.
