Chinese smartphone had brought its very popular device Huawei P9 in China during April earlier this year and since then Indian fans had been waiting for the release of this very promising smartphone in India. The wait is finally over as Huawei just announced that the Huawei P9 would be launched in India on August 17th.
To recall, the Huawei P9 sports a vibrant 5.2-inch FHD AMOLED display and is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 955 processor coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. The device will come in two storage variants of 3GB RAM/32GB ROM and 4GB RAM/64GB ROM. Additionally, there is microSD card support up to 256GB. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Emotion UI 4.1 on top.
However, the USP of this device is its camera. The primary rear camera of this device sports a dual 12MP setup with Leica SUMMARIT lenses and 1.25-micron pixel size. There is an equally good 8MP camera with dual tone LED flash on the front for selfies and video chat. The P9 supports 4G LTE and packs a 3,400mAh battery with USB Type-C connectivity.
The pricing is still not known but expect it to cost somewhere in the vicinity of 40,000 INR. We will let soon let you know of the final pricing and availability details as soon as it is revealed by Huawei, till then, stay tuned.
