HTC has kept its award-winning tradition alive by launching the new variant of HTC One M9+ today at their ‘double flagship’ conference. Apart from this they also planned to launch the Butterfly 3. These international announcements had been a big buzz and the Taiwan based conglomerate did what they were expected to do.
To keep the legacy going the HTC One M9+ named “Aurora Edition” (if the translation is correct) launched today and it resembles the OG model the “HTC One M9+“. What differentiates the later from its predecessor is that the new device has an excellent camera sensor, and there is also the addition of a Laser focus for the camera. The photo quality is bound to be superior since it sports a 21MP HD Camera with an anti-shake focus on the back. Above it lays the Laser focus, and next to it is present the dual LED, dual tone flash. Most of the specifications are similar to the original device.
As we move ahead we find the presence of a 5.2-inch QHD (2560*1440) display alongside 3GB high speed RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage, that’s expandable to a whopping 2TB. Now that’s humongous in terms of comparison. The chipset that ignites the device is a MediaTek Helio X10(MT6795T) 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. The device also encloses front-facing Boomsound stereo speakers as well. Just below the display is the presence of a physical button, similar to the original device, which also contains the fingerprint scanner.
The battery size stays at 2,840mAh and could last a full day. The body of the gadget is made of aluminum which gives it a metallic finish. The company is extremely proud of its camera and they guarantee pictures like never before. There are many options available in the camera app and would prove very handy for editing purposes.
The HTC One M9+ Aurora Edition is expected to hit the Taiwanese markets on October 5th and is priced around NT$20,900($630). There is no word on the global launch as of now, but it should not take long time, as the phone is targeted for international markets, according to earlier leak.
This is going to be one hell of a smartphone!!
