Almost a week ago, we had reported that the HTC One M8 had started receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in India. However, going by the comments we received on that report, it seems not all the users got the update on time. But as confirmed by one of our readers, the Marshmallow update for HTC One M8 has indeed been rolled out and the news isn’t a hoax.
Our reader Tushar Aggarwal from New Delhi got in touch with us just an hour ago and confirmed that he had started receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on his One M8 smartphone. He also sent the screenshots which confirm the same. The update carries version number 6.15.720.2 and weighs a large 1.11 GB in size. The screenshot confirms that this is the Android 6.0 and not the Android 6.0.1 update.
As for the rest of you in India who own the HTC One M8 and haven’t received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update notification yet, just stay patient and wait for it. As with such big updates, the rollout is gradual and might take some days to reach all the devices. You will surely get the update within a week or two.
