High-end smartphone users are excited to hear about the recently-released Android Marshmallow update coming to their phones. As of now, the list of phones that will get the update indicates that high-end HTC phones will be among the first ones to get Marshmallow. While the HTC One A9 has got the Android 6.0 out-of-the-box, the other flagship devices including One M8, and One M9 were promised to get the update in three months after Marshmallow’s launch. Well, we guess it should be somewhere around January when those HTC phones get to enjoy the update.

HTC One M8Meanwhile, the hopes for the HTC One M8 seem to be higher than other phones, as the Android 6.0 software made for that phone has been recently certified for Bluetooth SIG. According to a report by MobileBurn, HTC had submitted the certification request for the update on 22nd September, and the documents were accepted by 29th September. This tells us that the HTC One M8 is one step closer to the big upgrade.

Considering the fact that the One M8 was HTC’s flagship in 2014, there is no doubt that the newer One M9 will be getting the Marshmallow software too. The company itself has confirmed that all the flagships in its M series (except the M7) will get the new Android by the end of 2015. Well, fingers crossed!
