The recently announced Google smartphones Pixel and Pixel XL are not the only devices HTC is currently working on. The Taiwan-based smartphone maker also plans to roll out its own device HTC Bolt at the earliest possible.
Codenamed Acadia, the Bolt was recently leaked by Evan Blass, and from what we have learnt so far about this next-generation HTC smartphone, it will probably come loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat and Sense 8.0 at launch.
The news regarding the Bolt running Android N and Sense 8.0 broke after a tweet by leakster LlabTooFeR. Details are still sketchy, though. Some also speculate that the device may feature Android 7.1 Nougat at launch, but there’s no concrete evidence supporting claims as of now.
Gotta be available in selected EMEA region countries. Codename HTC Acadia.

Worth noting, the moderately successful HTC 1, released earlier this year, also featured Sense 8.0. It’s another matter the device, touted as the company’s one of the most commercially successful smartphone off late, is still being powered by Android Marshmallow.
HTC Bolt is unlikely to be a US-exclusive, meaning the device could be made available in other major markets shortly after its US launch.
HTC Bolt specs and design
Not much is known for sure about the HTC Bolt specs yet. All we have so far is bits and pieces of information from ongoing rumors.
So far the design is concerned, HTC Bolt could look similar to the HTC 10. It might come with a full metal body and a fingerprint scanner on the front. The primary camera at the back panel might sport dual LED flash, although there is no clear indication of the device featuring laser auto-focus. We are still waiting for more updates regarding other specs.
The previous generation HTC 10 had some really powerful specs, including the 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 820, 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display with Quad HD resolution, as well as URB Type-C port. It also featured 4GB RAM and a fingerprint scanner in the home button. The 12 MP rear camera with OIS and laser autofocus was be complemented by a 5MP front camera
