Alongside Honor 6X, Huawei has launched its Honor Pad 2 tablet with an 8-inch display, Snapdragon 616 processor, and 3GB of RAM. The company also launched the Honor Watch S1 smartwatch, which is water resistant up to 50 meters under water.
Both new products were launched at the company’s Honor 6X launch event in China. The Huawei Honor Pad 2 tablet is priced at CNY 999 (approx. Rs. 9,900) for the 16GB Wi-Fi-only variant. While the 32GB Wi-Fi-only variant will cost CNY 1,299 (approx.Rs. 12,900), and the 32GB 4G variant will cost CNY 1,499 (approx. Rs. 14,800).
On the other hand, the Honor Watch S1 smartwatch is priced at CNY 699 (approx. Rs. 6,900). It comes with Orange, Black, and Blue straps.
The Honor Pad 2 sports an 8-inch IPS display with full-HD (1200 x 1920 pixels) resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor along with 3GB of RAM. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The Honor Pad 2 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE ( with voice-calling functionality), Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.1. It comes in Wi-Fi only and 4G variants. The Honor Pad 2 is backed by a 4800mAh battery and will be available in Gold and White color options.
The Honor Watch S1 smartwatch sports a circular dial. It comes with interchangeable straps and is water resistant up to 50 meters. The new smartwatch monitors your health, using an inbuilt heart rate sensor. The company claims that its battery can last up to 6 days.
Both Honor Pad 2 and Watch S1 will be available for pre-order from October 19 in Chins. Sales commence from October 25. The international release dates and price have not been revealed as yet.
