People have many different questions in regards to what Hello Games may be doing. Have they quit working on No Man’s Sky? Did they pack up and leave a long time ago? Well, the answer’s a bit complicated but don’t get too excited yet.
What’s Hello Games doing right now?
Rumors are claiming that Hello Games are working on a content patch that is going to come out for the game soon. The proof for this comes from Twitter, via Paul Weir and Simon Carter. Paul Weir is the audio designer and he recently tweeted about a future content patch. Simon Carter made a similar tweet (he’s the programmer).
The tweets don’t say much about what the content patch is. But they at least confirm that work is being done. So, what about Sean Murray? Well, Hello Games is a small company. So, any message from anyone other than Sean is a good representation of the company. There is no official update from the Twitter handle of Sean and Hello Games but, considering how Paul Weir has been so vocal about the game’s development, we can take his word for it.
But the silence echoes really loud. And there are rising suspicions that the studio may have actually abandoned No Man’s Sky for good. If that’s the case then it won’t do well for them in the future when they decide to roll out a new title.
And even if there is a content update, when will it arrive? That’s also an important question and so far it’s really hard to speculate or guess. Let us know your thoughts regarding any future No Man’s Sky content updates in the comments below.
