Halo 5: Guardians continues to be supported by 343 Industries and Microsoft with new DLC and updates along the way. According to a brief teaser shown off on a live stream, we’re also going to see the inclusion of the Infection multiplayer mode soon. Hope you don’t mind the taste of brains.
The teaser was revealed in a live stream focusing on the coming Ghosts of Meridian update, so there is a slight chance the mode might even be included with this update. At the same time, it seems unlikely the developers would keep such a vital piece of information from the community seeing as Ghosts of Meridian is going to be launched before the end of the week.
In the Infection mode, one player becomes the zombie and must move about the map trying to spread the infection on to others. The mode was available in both Halo 3 and Reach, and now it seems to be making its way back to the fifth main entry.
Apart from Ghosts of Meridian, Halo 5: Guardians will be getting a Memories of Reach DLC in May, and the Warzone Firefight mode at some point in summer this year. Are you excited for Infection mode making a return in Halo 5: Guardians? Let us know in the comments below.
