When “Guardians of the Galaxy” came out in 2014, it was a surprise hit and surely gave Marvel a promising opportunity for a successful franchise. So “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” was obviously expected, and director James Gunn released the first teaser poster for the sequel today. The black and white look of the poster introduced us to the familiar cast, but the director clearly had more surprises in mind for the fans.
Shortly after the poster release, Gunn has posted the first Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 The special sneak peek is nothing else but a short video that reintroduces us to the heroes of the story. There’s Drax, Gamorra, Star-Lord, Nebula, Yondu, and Rocket. And oh, there’s our cute little Baby Groot too as seen in the teaser poster. But honestly, the “Hooka-chaka-hooka-hooka” music (“Hooked on a Feeling”) is annoying.
That’s all that the teaser does. Give us a glimpse of our unusual Guardians, leaving the rest to the upcoming trailer. As for the full official Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 trailer, the director hasn’t given any dates. The movie is all set to release on 5th May next year, and it is being said that the full trailer will come out with Marvel’s upcoming movie “Doctor Strange” that is due on 4th November.
