Sad news for Gran Turismo Sport fans as the creator, Kazunori Yamauchi, has delayed the game till 2017. The upcoming racing video game developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 video game console has generated quite a hype since its announcement last week during the 2015 Paris Games Week. The game will jump start a new generation of racing games in the long-running Gran Turismo series. The previous 6 games constitute the first era. The upcoming Gran Turismo Sport is the first game in the next era of GT games.

“From the start this title has been one of our most ambitious undertakings by using the latest technologies, such as physics-based rendering and sound simulations, and Scapes photo mode. In combining these features with a new Sport mode, we are offering a competitive gaming experience to truly reinvent what it means to be a racing game.”

The Developer wants to delay Gran Turismo Sport to further polish the game

The developer’s main qualm with the game is about its performance and multiplayer.

“We do not want to compromise the experience in any way. While we cannot confirm a new release date at this time, we are more committed than ever to making GT Sport the best Gran Turismo game to date.”

The developer later reassures everyone that the game will continue to be shown at several events around the world. Gran Turismo Sport generated massive hype on its announcement. Developer Polyphony Digital hopes the game will make efficient use of the new PlayStation 4 hardware. He hopes the game will deliver a content-rich and smooth experience.
