Let’s take a look at the new Google Pixel and Pixel XL!

With Pixel, we obsessed over every detail, from the industrial design to the user experience. We carefully sculpted the surfaces of the phone, and rounded the edges to make it easy to grip. We used 2.5D Corning Gorilla® Glass 4 on the front display and back glass to accent the aerospace grade aluminum body. The glass on the back also features Pixel Imprint, our fingerprint sensor, which is placed on the back of the phone where your finger expects it. You can even swipe it to access your notifications. And no matter what you’re using your phone for, you’ll need a battery that lasts all day and charges fast — up to seven hours in 15 minutes. – The company stated on its blog.

As expected, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones come with built-in Google Assistant. The Google Assistant was first announced at Google I/O. It is already available on the Google Allo messaging app. Both smartphones sport almost identical specifications, except the screen size and battery size. While the Google Pixel sports a 5-inch full-HD AMOLED display, the Google Pixel XL features a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display. The sleek looking smartphones come with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Both smartphones sport an aluminium unibody with a polished glass combination at the back.

The Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are being touted as the new Samsung and iPhone Killer devices. Both are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor [2 x 1.6GHz cores + 2 x 2.15GHz cores] along with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones come in two storage options – 32GB and 128GB. The Android 7.1 Nougat-based Pixel smartphones also sport a Pixel imprint fingerprint sensor.

The new smartphones sport a 12.3-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX378 sensor, PDAF, a large f/2.0 aperture and 1.55-micron pixels. The new camera is being touted as the ‘Best Camera Ever’ by Google. There is also an 8-megapixel front camera with a Sony IMX179 sensor, an f/2.4 aperture, and 1.4-micron pixels. Connectivity options include USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack. While the Google Pixel comes with 2770mAh battery, the Pixel XL smartphone will come with a 3450mAh battery.
