Released back in May 2015, Google Photos is a photo and video sharing service provided by the search giant Google. The service was initially embedded with Google’s social network Google+. It is available for all the kind of devices including Android, iOS or web browser, and actively works to back up users’ photos to the cloud service making them accessible from all the devices using the same cloud service.

The Android app for Google Photos today got updated with a new version 1.20 and is available for update on Google Play Store. If you are not planning to use the app from Play Store, you can simply download an APK file from mirror sites and install it on your device’s external or internal storage.

If you are wondering about the new changes, the changelog on Google Play store reads following:

  • Personalize auto-created movies with your own music, photos, and videos
  • Rename or delete device folders you’ve created
  • Manage SD cards by adding a new folder, copying and moving photos.

The Google Photos APK download file weighs around 22MB and supports the Android devices running on Android 4.0 version, at least.
