Google has been rolling out a lot of updates since morning today to most of its Android smartphone apps. Most of those updates don’t pack much apart from bug fixes and performance enhancements, but the new Google Photos 1.13 app has been updated with one significantly cool feature.
In Google Photos 1.13, the search results screen has been modified a bit and it now helps you see photos taken on the same day along other results. So even if the same-day photos aren’t related to what you are searching for right now, they will still show up in the search results screen.
To see this feature, download Google Photos 1.13 APK from the Play Store or from mirror sites like apkmirror.com. Then open the app and do a search. You will find a new small dropdown arrow placed at the right of most of the dates. Tap on that arrow and some additional photos and videos will show up that were taken on the same day. It is very easy this way to find more photos that the search results didn’t display but are as important as other photos.
