Just a couple of days ago, we reported how Windows 10 Mobile were unable to add Google accounts to built-in Mail and Calendar apps, and now the search giant has come in open and denied the allegation.

In a reply to a user’s query on Google Product Forums site, the representative stated that the issue has been fixed and was not intentional on Google part.

google-responseFor those who don’t know, Windows 10 Mobile users were not able to add Google accounts to the default mailing and calendar apps on Microsoft’s platform. Every time one tried to do it, an error saying “Your browser is not supported. Please update to a more recent one.” was displayed. The issue was persistent for more than a month which created doubts among the tech enthusiast. Since Google doesn’t allow third-party access to its services from Windows 10 Mobile, everyone suspected search giant’s hand in this too.

Anyways, now that the issue is resolved and the representative promised, “we’ll work hard to make sure it doesn’t happen again!”, we hope Google treats Windows 10 Mobile a little better.

Do let us know if the issue has been resolved or not at your end.
