A minor update to the Google Calendar app for Android is now rolling out which takes it to version number 5.5.9 from 5.5.7. The update brings some new features to the app and the update is rolling out incrementally. You can download the Google Calendar 5.5.9 APK for free from mirror hosting sites such as APKPolice.com.
Coming back to the update, it includes some new features and the official changelog is as follows:
1. Goals – Add personal goals—like “run 3 times a week”—and Calendar will schedule time for them automatically.
2. (Google Apps for Work and Education only) Find a time – Add colleagues as guests to your event and let Google Calendar find the best meeting times for you.
The latest update adds support for Conference Room Scheduling with which Google Calendar schedules events based on the priority of the number of meetings to be held in a week, which is to be set by the user. With this update, a user can easily add colleagues as guests to your meeting and the Google Calendar sorts the best times for the meeting, which is a brilliant addition.
However, according to Android Police, the latest update also comes with a new API. Though the update is touted as a minor one and there are no changes to the interface of the application.
