After a long wait spanning days and months, Google has finally launched the Huawei Nexus 6P and the LG Nexus 5X at its event today. Both the smartphones are the best Nexus devices till date and are also the first devices in the world to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Huawei Nexus 6P features a 5.7-inch WQHD AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and pixel density of 518ppi. Powering the smartphones is Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of internal storage. There’s a 12.3MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, and the device gets its juice from a 3,450 mAh battery.
On the other hand, the LG Nexus 5X gets a comparatively smaller 5.2-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Under the hood sits a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.0GHz. There is 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB/32GB of native storage alongside a 2700mAh battery. The LG Nexus gets a 12.3MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.55 micron pixels, while the 5MP front camera also comes with a f/2.2 aperture.
Both the Nexus phones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and also get a few specials, like a fingerprint sensor, dual front speakers, fast charging, and USB Type-C. Evidently, the Huawei Nexus 6P is the more premium one among both the Nexus smartphones. Though these phones still miss out on some demanded features like wireless charging, microSD slot, optical image stabilization, etc., they still provide an awesoem package to the buyers who are looking for a pure Google Android experience. Prices of the new Nexus devices have been announced and the phones will start shipping in late October.
