The ZenBook Flip UX 360CA is remarkable in many ways. Not only does it hold much significance for Asus’ on-going struggle to strengthen its grip in India’s mid-range laptop and notebook market, but it also happens to be the first ever ZenBook model in the country to sport a 360-degree hinge with a flippable display.
The company launched the new laptop, first unveiled internationally in April this year, in India at a starting price of Rs 46.990. It will be available in all leading retail stores in addition to Asus Exclusive Stores across the country.
The Zenbook Flip UX360CA brings you a 13.3-inch QHD+ display with 3,200 x 1,800 resolution and IPS touchscreen that promises 178-degree viewing angle. The product description claims a high brightness level of 350cd per square meter.
“A wide color gamut of 72% NTSC and exclusive Asus Splendid technology ensure outstanding color reproduction, a boon for applications like movie viewing and color-critical graphics work. Video performance is also enhanced with exclusive Asus Tru2Life technology that automatically optimizes the sharpness and contrast of every pixel in every video frame, so that videos look clearer, more detailed and more realistic,” read an Asus press release announcing the availability of the product in the Indian market.
At 1.3 kg, the UX360CA is not too heavy and if we are to take the product page of the device at its face value, buyers are in for a rather promising battery backup time of 12-hours.
The product boasts a unibody chassis crafted from a single block of solid aluminum. The lid characteristically features the typical Zen-inspired pattern of concentric circles and a spun-metal Zenbook finish.
Available in shades of mineral gray and icicle gold, this 13.9 mm thick laptop comes with a pretty sleek design.
The ZenBook Flip UX360CA has a 6-thoroughbred generation Intel Core M processor powering it which is further complemented by 8GB of DDR3RAM and a 512 GB solid-state hard drive.
The product also has two USB 3.0 Type – A ports as well as a one new-generation USB 3.1 Type-C port.
