Gionee seems to have been following a great pace in launching new phones. After the launch of super-thin Elife S7 few months back, it has Elife E8 also in pipeline. In the meantime, the company is also working on heir to Marathon M3 which will be known as M5.
M5 is all set to make new benchmarks in the parameter of battery capacity which has been set by Marathon M3 and M2 at 5,000mAh and 4,200mAh respectively. Gionee’s official teaser gives a tip-off regarding the dual battery found inside the upcoming M5.
With a modular body design, one of the batteries will be used at a time and other can be charged. Looking at the images revealed which gives the actual demonstration of batteries placement suggest they would be placed side by. However it is still not cleared whether this dual battery concept will induce some thickness in design or not.
According to the sources, Gionee is promising a four-day standby time for each of the batteries that is approximately converted into 2-days of heavy usage which will certainly be a sign of relief for the users hooked on to mobile for most of the day for their communication needs.
