Earlier this month, China’s 3C had certified three Gionee models, namely the Gionee GN8001, GN5001L and GN5002. And according to TimesNews, the GN8001 has now made its appearance at the TENAA website, thus confirming that it will be launching soon.
As listed by TENAA, the Gionee GN8001 features a huge 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Powering the phone is a 1.3 GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal expandable storage. The Gionee GN8001, according to TENAA, will come with at least an 8MP rear camera, and it is also possible that the resolution might go up to 13MP. Then there’s a 5MP front snapper.
The phone measures 160.7×81.0×8.2 mm and weighs 206 grams. The GN8001 will get Android 5.1 pre-installed and will support 4G LTE. The color schemes for the phone include silver. No launch date has been confirmed, though we should hear something from Gionee soon.
