Acer has announced the Acer Predator 8 GT-810 tablet, which is claimed to be a tablet made exclusively for gamers. One look at the tablet and you will find the design to be very futuristic, or, perhaps, alien. This is majorly because of the uniquely placed four front-facing Dolby Audio Predator Quadio speakers, which provide excellent virtual surround sound. Thanks to the Predator TacSense technology, this tablet has tactile vibration feedback to make the gaming experience more immersive.
The Acer Predator 8 is an Android 5.1 Lollipop tablet powered by an Intel Atom x7 processor along with Intel HD Graphics (Gen 8 LP). The vivid 8-inch display boasts of a massive 1920 x 1200-pixel resolution with IPS, zero air gap, and Predator ColorBlast technology for 100% NTSC color gamut. The tablet weighs 350 grams and measures 8.7mm in thickness. The connectivity features include 802.11a/b/g/n wireless, 2×2 MIMO wireless technology, etc. The internal storage in the Acer Predator 8 is a whooping 64GB along with an expandable storage of up to 128GB.
Acer Predator 6 – The Gaming Smartphone
Acer has also announced the Acer Predator 6, which is a made-for-gaming smartphone. Although not many details have been made public, we expect the handset to carry a 6-inch display (guessing by its naming scheme and its size when it was showcased). The screen diagonals along with the resolution has not yet been disclosed, but the device is certainly expected to carry a full HD vivid display.
The Acer Predator 6 will be powered by a 4GB RAM and a deca-core MediaTek chip, possibly the MTK 6797 Helio X20. It has also been announced that the primary camera for the Acer Predator 6 smartphone will be a 21 MP… Could it be a Sony sensor?
The smartphone has the same 4-speaker setup as the Predator 8 tablet. It is also being said that the smartphone will offer controller-level haptic feedback vibrations.
Stay tuned and we’ll bring in more in-depth information once the Acer Predator 8 and Predator 6 hit the market!
