Game of Thrones season 7 premiered a few weeks ago and everyone is loving it. Despite the fact that the season will feature only seven episodes, everyone is enjoying it with full excitement. The current season is going to conclude at the end of August, but it seems that fans will have to wait a little longer for the next season.
Recently, during the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour which was on Wednesday, Casey Bloys, the programming president of HBO revealed that the final six scripts for Game of Thrones Season 8 have been written.
Game Of Thrones Season 8 Scripts Are Completed
A few months ago, it was revealed that Benioff and Weiss are currently writing the scripts for the final four episodes. Dave Hill was reported to be writing the script for the premiere episode, while Bryan Cogman was writing episode 2. And now, Casey Bloys has confirmed that all the scripts for the final season have been completed. According to him, showrunner D.B. Weiss and David Benioff are now preparing to shoot the final season as they are currently determining how long the shoot will be. “It’s a big season,” said Bloys. “So they’re trying to get a sense of how long they’re going to take to film this.”
Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episodes Length
Bloys was even asked about how long the episodes of season 8 are going to be. He claimed that he knows they will be long, but he is not sure how long. He further added that two-hour per episode might be more than enough. “I imagine they’ll be longer but … I’m not sure [how long],” Bloys said. “We haven’t had that discussion yet because I don’t know how long the episodes are going to be. Two hours per episode seems like it would be excessive, but it’s a great show, so who knows?” For those who don’t know, Season 7’s finale is going to be 82 minutes long, making it the longest episode of the entire series.
As for when it will arrive, the final season of Game of Thrones is currently said to premiere in late 2018 or early 2019. Be sure to let us know how excited you are for Game of Thrones season 8 in the comments below.
