Within less than 100 hours of revelation of Galaxy Tab S2, Samsung has released an another tab, Galaxy Tab A. With these its look like Samsung is all set to rejuvenate its Tablet product portfolio. Galaxy Tab A features a 9.7inch screen with a S-Pen stylus which was till now being used solitarily with high-end segment devices. The device was calmly launched without an official press release and was available on Samsung’s Belgium and France website. Apart from these Samsung is also expected to launch Tab S2 8.0 and S2 9.7 at anytime.
Carrying a model number SM-P550N, the Galaxy Tab A comes with 9.7inch scree with 1024x768p resolution. Powered by a Ziilabs ZMS-08 chipset with 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM,it adorns a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie camera. Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop with TouchWiz UI, the tablet offers 16GB of onboard storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Galaxy Tab A & S Pen supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, however it does not have a celluar version available till now. With dimensions of 242.5 x 166.8 x 7.5mm it weighs 487grams. The engine of Galaxy Tab A is juiced up by a whooping 6,000mAh battery, which can keep it awake for 15hours of internet usage or 14 hours of video playback or 178 hours of audio playback.
The Galaxy Tab A allows users to surf the Internet and read on their matchless ease. With screen ration of 4: 3, it is ideal for reading books, magazines and digital newspapers. S Pen on the Galaxy Tab A offers the experience of an innate calligraphy by inscribing or drawing on your tablet. The innovative feature permits calligraphy with even more unique writing. Users can also use the S Pen to drag multiple files and managing their calendar.
The Galaxy Tab A with S Pen is available in Sandy Black and Sandy White color variations and will be available at €339 (US$ 372) with online retailers.
