Several Moto devices have already received the Nougat update. Other manufacturers like HTC and LG have already announced the schedule for Android Nougat update roll-out. While most of the smartphones should have the update latest by this year March-end, Samsung Galaxy S7 users are likely to get the update very soon. The beta program already allows users to run Android Nougat on Galaxy S7. The third beta update arrived recently for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung had introduced the Nougat beta testing program for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users in selection regions. As part of the testing program, users can try out the latest OS on their devices and provide feedback for improvements. However, the company ended the Galaxy beta program last month and said it would try to release the official update to the public in January.
Galaxy S7 Nougat update rolling out for some users
According to latest reports, Samsung is rolling Nougat for Galaxy S7 to a select number of users. Only a few users are getting the update right now because the company is only conducting soak test in view of the planned full-fledged roll-out. Considering that the company has no plans of future beta builds, this could very well be the final build. The build comes with version number G935FXXU1DPLR and also features January Security Patch. The January patch addressed a total of 67 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures, in addition to security fixes for Exynos 8895 and Snapdragon 835.
