Samsung has started selecting beta testers in the US who will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow beta build for their Galaxy Note5 devices. A total of 200 Note5 users from AT&T have been chosen and will be receiving the update if they follow the instructions properly.

As for the update itself, the Marshmallow beta firmware for the Galaxy Note5 looks the same like the Galaxy S6 Marshmallow update and comes with the latest security improvements. The update is 1356MB large and gets a build date of 2nd February.

In case you own a Galaxy Note5 (the SM-N920A model) bought from AT&T and have signed up for the Marshmallow beta updates, you should keep checking your email to know whether or not you have been chosen to test the beta.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow beta update is being rolled out, which means that the final version will be rolled out to the regular users in just a few weeks, probably this month. Excited?
