Samsung has tasted its part of success with its Galaxy series of Android smartphones, which is why it is not surprising to see new Galaxy phones coming out every now and then. It seems like another Galaxy phone, called Galaxy A9, will join the Samsung family soon. It is being said that the A9 will be the most high-end phone in the A series. The phone has been spotted on AnTuTu as well as Indian import website Zauba before, and now the phone has been certified by the Bluetooth SIG.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 (SM-A9000) has been approved by the Bluetooth SIG and has thus received its first certification. We expect the phone to get more certifications soon, which will speed-up its release time. An educational guess says that we might see the official launch of A9 before this year comes to an end.

Previous leaks suggest that the Galaxy A9 will feature a 5.5-inch or 6-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 620 SoC, 3GB RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. Under the hood will be an octa-core CPU (four Cortex-A72 cores clocking at 1.8GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocking at 1.4GHz). An Adreno 510 GPU will make way for gaming. While the phone will run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop pre-installed, a Marshmallow update can be expected soon after the A9’s launch.
