Recent leaks have confirmed that Samsung will be launching its new 2016 Edition of A-series smartphones soon. The new Galaxy A3, A5, A7, and A8 have already made an appearance in different databases, and even the Galaxy A9 is supposed to be joining the refreshed list. Today, the Galaxy A7 (2016) has appeared on FCC with some new details about the phone.

According to the FCC documents, the newer Galaxy A7 will be carrying a slightly narrower chassis, but will be overall a bite thicker than the present Galaxy A7. The dimensions of the new A7 (2016) will be 151.5 × 73.95 × 6.95mm, and it will weigh 155g. An educated guess with these dimensions in mind indicates that the new A7 will get a 5.5-inch screen. FCC has also revealed that a 3,300 mAh battery will be used in the new A7, instead of the 2,600mAh unit that the current A7 gets.
Rest of the Galaxy A7 (2016) specs have already been revealed by TENAA. The newer A7 will get a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED screen, 3GB RAM, 13MP camera, and Snapdragon 615. We wonder what price tag this mid-ranger will flaunt.
