Microsoft’s on a roll with bringing Xbox One games to the PC. After Quantum Break and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, they’re bringing over Forza Motorsport 6: Apex to the PC. What’s Apex, you ask? Apparently it’s a cut-down version of the original Forza Motorsport 6 for the Xbox One. The best part? Apex will be free to play on the PC.

As with Quantum Break and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex will be released only on Windows Store on Windows 10. That means the game will not be coming to Steam, at least not in the foreseeable future.

The game will be powered by DirectX 12 and feature resolutions of up to 4K. It is developed by Turn 10 Studios, and is designed for players new to the Forza franchise. There will be a new objective and scoring system, a new “Spotlight Series” that features Showcase-style events and 63 cars to choose from. Cars mentioned on the official blog include the 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455, 2017 Ford GT and 2014 Audi #2 Audi Team Joest R18 e-tron quattro.

There are six locations, and 20 track configurations. The locations include Brands Hatch, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Rio de Janeiro, Sebring International Raceway, Top Gear and Yas Marina.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex will be released for free in Spring this year. It will be exclusive to Windows 10. Have a look at the official announce trailer below.
