FIFA 18 – the upcoming football video game in the FIFA series developed and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch – is the 25th installment in the FIFA series and one that fans have been eagerly waiting for. FIFA 18 will be the second FIFA game to be based on the Frostbite game engine. PS4 and Xbox One will include The Journey, unlike PS3 and Xbox 360. The Journey was introduced in last season’s game as a new single-player story campaign mode for PS4, Xbox One and Windows. If the latest leaks are anything to go by, FIFA fans probably already know which destination they are headed to in FIFA 18’s The Journey single-player campaign. Read on!
FIFA 18 The Journey leagues leaked
According to a leak by redditor, it looks like we already know the international destinations for FIFA 18’s The Journey single-player campaign. The reddit post by Oskarek shows a leaked screenshot confirming USA, Germany, Brazil, the English Premier League (Hunter’s default home), Spain and France. If the screenshot is true, we’re looking at the inclusion of Brazilian players in the upcoming FIFA series.
As for the game itself, FIFA 18 will be available for Xbox One, PS4 and also PC. FFA 18, like FIFA 17, will use Frostbite engine, the game engine developed by EA Dice which is being used in all EA Sports offerings, considering the graphical delight it brings. Although there are bugs in Frostbite, it is expected to run smoothly on the upcoming next generation platforms. Nintendo Switch will also be getting FIFA 18.
Since Frostbite needs massive resources for optimized output, FIFA 18 The Journey will not be part of PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Switch versions. FIFA 18 is scheduled for release on 29 September 2017.
