The 2016 KBS Drama Awards held recently in Seoul was a glittery night that saw may celebrities grace the occasion. The KBS Drama Awards are a way of recognizing outstanding achievements in Korean dramas aired on its network. This year, Descendants of the Sun stars Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo won the Grand Prize (Daesang) at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards. The duo also won the Best Couple Award. Song Hye Kyo gave a stunning acceptance speech, in which she said she misses the staff of Descendants of the Sun and also admitted that she wasn’t sure of taking up the role when she got the offer. Song Joong-ki too acknowledged the help of Jin goo and thanked his parents and fans.
Fans Want Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Ko To Get Married
After a long wait of six months, the duo were seen at the Awards show. The last time they were seen together was at the 52nd Baeksang Art Awards show back in June 2016. Because the duo won one of the Best Couple awards in the recent KBS drama awards ceremony, fans of Descendants of the Sun are now pushing the duo to get married. Fans believe that the two look cute together and that their on-screen chemistry is so fantastic that they have every chance to become a good real life couple. However, Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Ko have made it clear that they aren’t in a relationship and haven’t really given a thought about fan’s comments on Instagram insisting them to get married.
Egaadara, one of the users on Instagram, commented on Song Hye Kyo’s account after the actress posted a photo of herself and Song Joong-ki at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards – “Get married please”. Another comment read – “Get married. Waiting”. Another user Anitarg88 commented – “Joong ki please marry Hye Kyo. You two very much together. Please marry her.” Song Hye Kyo’s Instagram post about the KBS Drama Awards has so far received more than 200,000 likes.
