Fallout 4 is so deep that you can’t even complete it entirely in 400 hours. And thanks to the mods and DLC updates, it just keeps getting deeper and deeper. Bethesda has planned to release an official mod tool for all developers that will help them create mods for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. These mods, coupled with DLC, will help increase the life of the game.

We have listed down a few things that you should know about the Fallout 4 upcoming content.

1. Fallout 4 DLC Release Date

Though no specific release date has been outlined by Bethesda, we do have a time-frame in mind. The first Fallout 4 DLC is said to be arriving in early 2016. Though the word “early” does not tell us much, but it surely hints towards a release in the first half of the year. A lot of expansion packs and DLC releases will be released for the game throughout 2016. Apart from that, a lot of free updates will bring new features to the game while fixing annoying bugs.

Fallout 4 1.3 patch is the next update for the game for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The beta version includes:

  • Improved “ESDF” keys remapping support while in Workshop mode
  • New weapon debris effects (only for NVIDIA cards)
  • New ambient occlusion setting, HBAO+
  • Added ability for rotating an object you are holding with left/right triggers and pressing down on left thumbstick for switching the rotating axis
  • Added status menu for settlers in your settlements.

2. Fallout 4 Season Pass

A Fallout 4 Season Pass costing $30 is being offered by the developer for all the three platforms. This pass will allow you to access all the paid DLC for the game. The developer claims that the DLC is worth $40, which makes the Season Pass a good deal. The pass can be bought anywhere including Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, Steam, etc.

3. No Fallout 4 DLC Exclusives

Though Microsoft and Bethesda have come into a close partnership, the Xbox One won’t be getting any Fallout 4 DLC exclusives. The developer has confirmed the same. Meanwhile, the Fallout 4 mods will be released first to the PC, then to Xbox One, and finally to the PlayStation 4.

4. Fallout 4 DLC Content

Though the content of the upcoming Fallout 4 DLC is still unknown, we do have some ideas from the latest rumors and speculations. The DLC update might bring new characters, new items, new quests, and new regions to explore. The map of the game is very huge, so we might also see some underwater content. The Combat Zone might get additional combat, and we might see some connection between the DLC and the “Ghoul Whale” mentioned in Fallout 4.
