The Facebook app for Android is liked by one and all, but there’s still one feature that annoys everybody. Whenever you click on the Messages button in the app, it takes you to the Facebook Messenger app. And in case you haven’t already downloaded the Messenger, then you will be asked to download it as you cannot chat with the Facebook app alone. While this is very bad of Facebook to not have included the Messenger in the Facebook app itself, the Messenger deserves to be a standalone app.

The Facebook Messenger app for Android lets you chat with friends and even make voice and video calls. You can send photos, videos, files, etc. via the Messenger itself, and the colorful smileys and emojis make the conversations more interesting. The app gets updated regularly, and the latest Facebook Messenger 56.0.0.27.64 Beta update has been released for Android 4.0.3+ running devices. The same version has been released earlier too, however, the APK was made for Android Lollipop+ devices. The whole APK file weighs 23.85 MB and can run only on devices running Android 4.0.3 and above.

The developers of the Messenger app haven’t shared a changelog with us, so we don’t think it might bring any significantly new features. But speed improvements and bug fixes are usually expected. You can download Facebook Messenger 56.0.0.27.64 APK free from the mirror sites like apkmirror.com.
