Chinese smartphone maker Doogee has sent an e-mail to us, stating that “Since the birth of iPhone 6/6 plus, curved edge design has been a fashion and followed by almost every manufacturer. However, DOOGEE F5 gonna say NO.” Doogee says that it want to introduce smartphones with a different approach, that motivated the firm to make use of square corners for its upcoming smartphone Doogee F5. With 4G LTE connectivity, the handset will start next month at a cost of $149.99.
In terms of specs, the F5 features a 5.5 inch display, with a 1080 x 1920 resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The MediaTek 6753 chipset, with an octa-core processor, and Mali-T720 MP3 GPU, controls the device. 3GB of RAM supports the CPU. On the rear of the mobile rests a 13MP camera, while a 5MP snapper adorns the front of the unit. A 3,000mAh battery with fast charging keeps the engine live. A fingerprint scanner lets you browse to various aspects of the mobile according to the length of time you maintain your finger.
It is worth nothing that Doogee F5 is the same phone which has been known as Doogee F2015 in past. Aside from the low cost, the phone definitely does not follow Apple iPhone 6 / Plus. But we need to wait for other lineup of firm to see if the Doogee is really serious for their own designs.
