Tom Clancy’s The Division is probably the hottest game out there right now. Apart from being the biggest launch yet for an original IP, The Division is proving to be a hit with players as well, if the burgeoning user base is any indication. While much of the game involves killing AI enemies, there’s also a significant chunk of PvP to the game. One way to go PvP is to go rogue.

The PvP aspect of the game is not something you want to dive into until way later in the game. To access it, you need to saunter over to the Dark Zone, the most dangerous place in The Division. Once there, you can choose to either work together with other players, or go “rogue”. All you need to do to be marked as a rogue is to attack another player. Stray bullets and friendly fire are thankfully exempt, though.

Once you go Rogue, you are marked red on the map, and become an open target for everyone coming after you. And they will come after you: after all, they stand to gain a lot of XP from killing a rogue. You become, quite literally, a marked man (or woman).

Going rogue is all about balancing risk. You will be made vulnerable, but you also stand to gain a lot of awesome loot this way. The choice is, of course, yours.
