Dell has introduced the XPS 13 laptop in the company’s XPS series and Inspiron 15, 17 in the Inspiron series. These laptops run on Windows 10 out of the box. The XPS 13 is the world’s smallest notebook that comes with a borderless “InfinityEdge” display. Let’s check out the detailed features of these laptops.
Dell XPS 13 Features and Configuration: The XPS 13 sports a stunning 13.3-inch screen in an 11-inch frame with an option to choose from Full HD or Quad HD+ display panel. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The laptop comes in two different configurations, one with Intel 7th Generation Core i5 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD storage and another variant with Quad HD+ display will be powered by Intel 7th Generation i7 chipset with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD storage. The laptop comes with 1535 Wireless-AC technology for stable and reliable WiFi connection. The 60WHr battery is capable of delivering up to 22 hours on FHD model and up to 13 hours on QHD+.
The XPS will run on Windows 10 out of the box. However, the developer’s edition will run on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
Dell Inspiron 15 and 17 Features and Configuration: The Dell Inspiron 15 and 17 feature thin design. The 15-inch display model packs touch option feature, and it comes with an optional infrared camera with Windows Hello. Both these laptops are powered by Intel 7th Gen Core i7 processors and come with DVD drive with optional Blu-ray writer⁸ for extra storage.
Pricing and availability: The Dell XPS 13 comes in Rose Gold color and will be available at $799. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 15 and 17 5000 will be available in Sparkling White, Midnight Blue, Fog Night, Matte Gray, Black, Bali Blue, Tango Red, and Cosmic Purple colors and is priced at $549.99. All laptops will be available starting October 4.
