Dell has announced a new UltraSharp UP3017 30-Inch Professional Display With DCI-P3 Color Space. The new UltraSharp UP3017 is directly available from Dell at $1249.99.
The 30-inch display features an IPS panel that can reproduce 1.07 billion colors. It also covers 99% of the Adobe RGB, sRGB, and DCI-P3 color spaces. The UltraSharp UP3017 comes pre-calibrated. It also allows users to further calibrate it using Dell’s UltraSharp color calibration software and X-rite colorimeters.
The Dell UltraSharp UP3017 is aimed at video editors and animation/graphic designers, who need sRGB and the DCI-P3 color spaces to do post-production work. Another unique feature of this display is the 16:10 aspect ratio. While most desktop displays have adopted the 16:9 aspect ratio, the UltraSharp UP3017 meets the demand of professionals needing taller aspect ratios.
The Dell UltraSharp UP3017 comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, and pixel density of 101ppi. It comes with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 350 nits typical brightness, W-LED backlighting, and 178-degree viewing angles. The new display has 1000:1 static contrast, 6 ms response time in fast mode. It also features an adjustable stand, which allows you to rotate the panel clockwise or counter-clockwise to view the screen in portrait orientation.
Other features include anti-glare coating, two HDMI 1.4 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.2 input, one mDP 1.2 input, and one DP 1.2 output with MST. However, it does not support DL-DVI-D input. The monitor can be connected to two PCs with KVM, PBP, and PiP features. The UltraSharp UP3017 also sports a quad-port USB 3.0 hub with two receptacles featuring BC1.2 charging capability.
