Lee Jong Suk, actor of W Two Worlds, spoke at the 2016 MBC Drama Awards that took place on Friday. Lee Jong Suk was criticized for his Daesang speech. Not just Lee Jong Suk, Infinity Challenge comedian Yoo Jae Suk was also criticized by supporters. It looks like the fans were not happy with Yoo Jae Suk’s speech because the speech tone sounded like he was a supporter of the “left”. In his speech, Yoo Jae Suk talked about how Infinity Challenge helped him learn Korean history and his belief in the system when the nation goes through a difficult time.
Daesang Winner’s Speech Political?
Yoo Jae Suk, during 2016 MBC Entertainment Awards, said – “I feel and learn many things through ‘Infinity Challenge.’ Especially as I learn about Korean history, I realized that when a nation goes through a difficult time, it is the people who rescue the country, that it’s the people who are the true owners of a nation”. Although several people liked the intellect and the thoughtfulness involved in the speech, members of Park Sa Mo Fan Club, supporters of ex-President Park, did not like the comedian’s speech. Yoo Jae Suk wished a great 2017 for Korea’s citizens as he concluded with the words – “where all of Korea’s citizens can walk on the flower path, not just few people”.
Social media also did not accept the rather short speech of Lee Jong Suk, who said he was kind of drowsy because of the herbal supplement relaxation pills he had taken. But the acceptance speeches of Descendants of the Sun stars Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo during the 2016 KBS Drama Awards were an instant hit. People liked the way the duo thanked and acknowledged the supporters and fans. Looks like MBC Entertainment Award winners have some homework to do when it comes to delivering speeches.
