Supercell is bringing some changes to their freemium mobile strategy game Clash Royale. As detailed in their blog post, they are changing the Seasonal Trophy count to 4000, which was previously 3000. The new change has taken effect starting yesterday. Player trophies will now be reset to 4000 at the end of the season.
Trophies will reset to 4000 at the end of the Season
“We’d like all players to be able to progress smoothly throughout the Arenas, eventually reaching the Legendary Arena and ultimately gaining access to all the cards. Increasing the Season reset to 4000 Trophies will help achieve this by reducing the amount of players battling around the 3000 range and fighting for a place in the Legendary Arena.”
Before the 8/15 change, winners would gain more trophies than lost by the loser while going from 0 to 1000 trophies. Supercell has now increased that threshold to 2000 trophies. However, after 2000 trophies the win/ loss ratio will be 1:1.
Supercell hopes this will allow players to progress more easily through the arenas and get more cards. So, when you reach the Legendary Arena you should have an easier time staying there.
“Also, we have some neat ideas for making the “endgame” (3000+ Trophies) and Seasonal Trophy push a compelling place to be, but more on this later down the line!”
