Popular Chinese smartphone manufacturers have started focusing on European markets and a relatively popular Chinese company Coolpad announced two new 4G budget smartphones for Europe. Both the phones have been kept in the budget friendly price segment and are loaded with some cool specs.
Coolpad’s Torino S and Porto S will be first launched in Switzerland and Germany somewhere in the month of March and will soon be seen in India and other markets.
Coolpad Torino S
Torino S runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the company’s customized Cool UI 8.0. Torino S features a fingerprint scanner at the rear and an Infrared Sensor (IR). It has a 4.7-inch HD IPS display. It also sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera and at the front Torino S offers a 5MP camera lens for some decent selfies. On the processing front it is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 306 graphics and for smoother performance the phone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable with microSD card) and all of this is powered by an 1800 mAh battery.
Coolpad Porto S
Coolpad Porto S features a 5-inch HD IPS display equipped with a 1GHz MediaTek MT6735P quad-core processor and Mali-T720 at the graphics front. Porto S packs 8 GB internal memory (which is expandable) and 1 GB RAM. The rear camera is probably an 8-MP lens and the front 2-MP camera lens is little disappointing. However, all this is powered by a 2000mAh battery which will last a day with normal uses.
Price
Coolpad Porto S and Torino S will be available to grab for €129 (approx Rs. 9,695) and €199 (approx Rs. 14,945), respectively. Coolpad hopes that the customers from rising markets will welcome these two budget phones with their open hands.
Any takers?
