Infinite Warfare is a lot of fun. But we all know you’re all waiting for the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered to arrive. And why shouldn’t you, the multiplayer gameplay trailer looks stunning. We decided to get some hands-on ourselves and are happy to say the game plays and feels like the old Call of Duty Modern Warfare while looking gorgeous. There are some tweaks and improvements to the killstreaks to make them more appealing to the post-Modern Warfare crowd. However, it’s not so hard to get used to even for the old Call of Duty Modern Warfare crowd. Our Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered impressions will include an analysis of multiplayer maps, the weapons, and some brand new killstreaks.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered Impressions – Character models look absolutely stunning
You can now view character models in the “select a class” menu. The models not only look amazing but have slight visual improvements as well. The Sniper especially seems to have a lot of grass coverings on the body, more than it had previously. The faces also have more variety. You can rotate and check character models to see how they look.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered impressions – Multiplayer maps
Overgrown is our favorite Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered map. The foliage and derelict buildings look fantastic in HD. However, get ready for the grenade spam at all the usual spots at the start of the match. The nostalgia is real, getting yourself blown up by 4 or 5 grenades thrown by the other side right at the start of the match brings back memories.
New Voices for the Killstreak rewards
We’re not sure we really like the new voice. It’s much heavier than the previous announcer voice. It’s almost like that previous announcer grew old after 8 years and did the voice acting for the announcer of this game. Anyways, it’s not entirely bad and still makes you proud to hear him call out chopper and airstrikes whenever you get the killstreak award.
Killstreak multiplier has increased and new killstreaks are introduced
To accommodate newcomers Infinity Award seems to have increased the Killstreak multiplier and even introduced new ones like Defender, Comeback and more. Those familiar with the later version of Modern Warfare such as Modern Warfare 2 and 3, will easily recognize this.
There are no new weapons – which is great
Yes! that’s good because it might spoil the Modern Warfare remastered experience. The original game was known for balanced weapons, so adding new ones would’ve betrayed that experience. On the other hand, the new weapons feel great. There are slight changes in the way they handle but overall the shooting is fantastic and a reminder of the old Call of Duty 4 game.
Let us know what you think of our Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered impression. The game won’t release with all maps but only the rest of the map will be included later on as a free update.
